Sustainability of Batik wastewater quality management strategies: analytical hierarchy process

Abstract Batik industries have some positive impact on economic growth and socio-cultural development. However, they also produce wastewater in large quantities with high pH, containing biochemical oxygen demand, chemical demand a substance of total suspended solid that do not meet quality standards could negative impacts the environment. Paoman village, Indramayu regency, is one batik small supporting development local communities, although there an installations system treatment plant (WWTP). The study aimed to identify priorities management industrial center based environmental studies, studies social factors community institutional aspects using analytical hierarchy process. were identified as follows: (1) application WWTP systems technologies for aspect, (2) understanding perceptions medium enterprises (SMEs) (3) cost installation, operation maintenance aspect.
